Tuesday continued

I thought I'd better add a little. I took a lot of pictures this afternoon. No, didn't go anywhere special but around Hyde Park. I know tomorrow will be busy because that is our big 'Magic of London' tour and I will have lots more to post. So just some highlights from this afternoon.

First, lunch/supper at a typical English Pub. Jacky and I had a pint of Guinness which was soooo smooth. Delicious! Along with that was fish and chips. One of the biggest pieces of battered cod I've seen.

Then on to explore and walk off our meal. We ended up at the Science Museum and got there just before closing. Most of it was about breaking the code during WWII, and the beginning of computers. When they kicked us out, we started walking. And walking. And walking.

I took lots of pictures of the remarkable architecture found in London. When I used to go to school there at The American School In London, we would go on field trips just to look at buildings. I found it fascinating then and still do today.

I wish I could show you lots more but time and blog is limited. Plus I can't figure out how to make pictures smaller. There was the chalk artists and the living gold man and all the statues. Also Princess Diana Memorial Fountain, Hyde Park, Albert Memorial, Longlake.

My camera is charging and we have to be up at 6am, and I have no idea what time my body thinks it is. Until tomorrow, London time....

  1. Lori, you are doing fantastic!! I feel like I am right there with you and almost taste fish and chips. Good pictures too. Isn't it nice to be back in London? I'm sure there is a lot that looks different too. And nice to see familiar places. I look forward to tomorrow.

  2. Just thought of something else. Are you near the American School?

    1. Not sure. I thought it was near Regents Park. No? Talked about it! I don't know directions to anywhere, it's been too long and I didn't have to know it when we lived here. Do you know where the antique print shop was that we bought prints in?
